Fourteen Magazine is an online thematic bi-annual magazine that platforms anti-caste writing and multimedia work.

Fourteen Magazine was built to platform creative work that speaks to the diversity of thought and multiplicity of lived experience in the anti-caste movement. We are committed to bringing forth narratives and discourse forged within resistance and rooted in anti-caste thought, while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of what that might mean. We intend to put out work that is generative - in that it leads to more ways of thinking about the mechanisms of structural oppression, seeks to build solidarities, and creates new framing for anti-caste work.

We are looking for interdisciplinary pieces that experiment with both form and subject matter, which at their core challenge caste, class and gender-based power structures. Each thematic issue will have an open call as well as commissioned pieces, and the full issue will be freely available to read on the website. Our first issue will be out in January 2025.

Fourteen Magazine is an alternative media platform that seeks to remain free of the vested interests of dominant castes. Our working team is composed entirely of Dalit-Bahujan-Adivasi writers and artists.

Fourteen Magazine is produced by Maveli Knowledge Lab, a project of Women’s Research and Action Group (WRAG).
